Gold Class Certified Collision Repair Business

Comstock Park Body Shop is proud to be a Gold Class ® collision repair business. The Gold Class recognition indicates that our technicians are trained in the proper repair techniques and procedures that contribute to the complete and safe repair of your vehicle.

As a Gold Class shop, we require each of our technicians involved in collision repair to take ongoing training every year. This includes classes on new vehicle technologies and the latest repair techniques.

Comstock Park Body Shop is among only 10 percent of collision repair businesses to achieve Gold Class status, whereas shops that are not Gold Class may train minimally or not at all. Gold Class shops are trained on how to fix your vehicle right; on what can be repaired and what needs to be replaced; and on how to see hidden damage you may not see.

Two out of three people find a repair shop by talking to friends or relatives. Don’t take chances. Refer your friends and family to Comstock Park Body Shop and let our trained repair professionals take care of them today!

What is Gold Class Certification?

Gold Class Certification is awarded through the Inter-Industry Conference on Auto Collision Repair to select businesses which have specialized technicians trained via I-CAR. Well-known in the auto repair industry, I-CAR has designed a unique nonprofit training program for those auto technicians who aspire to perform high quality work day in and day out.

The Gold Class Certification produces automotive specialists rather than purely technicians. Their training includes many different components to collision repair, including six specialist functions:

Estimator
Electrical/Mechanical
Non-Structural
Aluminum Structural
Steel Structural
Refinish

Physical Damage Appraiser is an added certification that I-CAR makes available for insurance professionals.

A business bearing the Gold Class symbol indicates that at least one person it employs has earned I-CAR’S ProLevel One Platinum Individual certification. Certification must be in each of four functions: estimator, non-structural, refinish and steel structural. This official recognition is tangible proof that the designated employees have mastered all prescribed requirements that constitute ProLevel One. Unaffiliated individual technicians may also register in any of I-CAR’s programs and gain certification in one of its specified fields.

Frequency of Gold Class Qualifications’ Training

Within one year following their initial certification training, the specialist must renew the certification to successfully pass on to ProLevel Two. Following another 12 month period after ProLevel Two, the technician will renew to attain ProLevel Three.
